Premier League sides join Roma for Luis Henrique as Inter chase Jones

Inter are keen to sell Luis Henrique in order to fund a move for Curtis Jones, with Premier League clubs now joining Roma in the race for the Brazilian.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the sale of Davide Frattesi to Lazio freed a midfield spot but did not bring in the resources Inter had hoped, after the deal was recalibrated to a €5m loan, rather than the €1m initially envisaged, with a €10m option.

To give themselves more certainty over the Jones deal, the Nerazzurri therefore need additional “ammunition,” which explains the favourably received idea of cashing in on Luis Henrique.

Discussions are already open with Roma, who value the winger at around €30m including bonuses, though the formula remains to be resolved and the Giallorossi are, for now, focused on completing their attack. As a result, Roma may soon not be Inter’s only interlocutor, with movement registered from England.

Liverpool soften stance as Inter close on Jones

Regardless of Luis Henrique, the Nerazzurri will press ahead for Jones, the midfielder expressly requested by Cristian Chivu. Liverpool had long held firm on their €40m valuation despite the player’s contract expiring in 2027, but there has lately been a softening in their position, much as Tottenham eventually lowered their demands over Djed Spence.

It will be difficult to go below €35m, but Inter are determined to stay under €40m, and a little extra in the coffers would make everything simpler. Jones, for his part, has already agreed personal terms and would become Inter’s third English signing of the summer, after John Stones and Spence.
