Kolasinac targeted by Schalke 04 after Atalanta friendly visit
14 agosto 2026

Atalanta have already lost Berat Djimsiti, now there are reports Sead Kolasinac could leave too for a return to Schalke 04.
It is a period of profound change for La Dea, who after a difficult campaign in the wake of Gian Piero Gasperini’s departure have started afresh with new coach Maurizio Sarri.
Djimsiti left after a decade in Bergamo to try a new adventure with Al-Diriyah FC.
Kolasinac still loves Schalke

Now Sky Sport Italia suggest that fellow centre-back Kolasinac has been targeted by Schalke 04.
It would be a return to Germany for the 33-year-old, who already played in their youth team and was promoted to senior level, moving to Arsenal in 2017.
He then came back for a loan experience in 2021, and came to Atalanta as a free agent in the summer of 2023.
Kolasinac is only under contract with Atalanta until the end of the season, so any sale would be for a nominal fee.
It is therefore likely that the club will leave the decision up to the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
They probably discussed the matter when Atalanta played in Gelsenkirchen last week for a pre-season friendly, which La Dea won 3-0.
