Anthony Gordon opened his Barcelona account in a comfortable 3-0 victory over Getafe, maintaining his fine early form in Spain.
Not everyone was convinced when Anthony Gordon signed for Barcelona in the summer but the former Newcastle winger has emerged as a popular figure there already. He bagged his first Barca goal two minutes into their 3-0 home win over Getafe on Saturday.

Lamine Yamal is the darling of the crowd and Raphinha is the talisman up top but there is a role for Gordon - as well as fellow new arrival Karim Adeyemi - and both are playing it to perfection thus far by taking some of the load off the star man. Hansi Flick is happy.
"He is doing great. He was also doing well in the previous matches when he did not score," said the Barca coach afterwards. "He gives us a lot. He has speed, moves well with the ball, all the dribbling he has. He is always dangerous and creates chances."

Yan Diomande is also off the mark for Real Madrid, his winner coming in a more fraught win over Villarreal. The game was notable for Vinicius Junior thinking that he had scored only to be sent off for pulling the hair of Nathan Saliba on the way to making it happen.

Vinicius Junior had a goal disallowed after his hair pull on Villarreal midfielder Nathan Saliba - and was then given a red card after it was checked by VAR.
Jose Mourinho was unimpressed, skipping media duties, but at least it was a win after the derby loss to Atletico. Mourinho's side remain fourth as there were wins for Atletico and for Real Betis, who did not even need Troy Parrott to score in their 5-2 win over Osasuna.
For once, another Madrid side took much of the headlines in Spain as Rayo Vallecano fans succeeded in getting their game against Athletic Club abandoned. Paper planes and rubber balls rained down in the first game of the season at the Estadio de Vallecas.
The ground had been closed due to health and safety concerns and the protest was part of an ongoing dispute between supporters and the club's owner-president Raul Martin Presa over his failure to invest in the atmospheric old venue. Consider awareness raised.
LaLiga results: Malaga 1-1 Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano A-A Athletic Club, Deportivo Alaves 1-2 Atletico Madrid, Barcelona 3-0 Getafe, Real Madrid 1-0 Villarreal, Elche 0-0 Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad 3-2 Deportivo A Coruna, Real Betis 5-2 Osasuna, Racing Santander 2-2 Valencia.

The fastest goal of the weekend, indeed the fastest goal in Bundesliga history, was scored against Bayern Munich on Saturday. Augsburg's Robin Fellhauer dispossessed the great Manuel Neuer and put his side in front after just eight seconds of the game.

Bayern recovered to earn a point, Harry Kane assisting both of their goals in a 2-2 draw, and Vincent Kompany's team really should have won it. But with Neuer also culpable for the second Augsburg goal there is increasing heat on the 40-year-old goalkeeping icon.
Neuer's Germany return at the World Cup was not a success and with Jonas Urbig, his Bayern deputy, having been given his international debut by Jurgen Klopp in the recent window, it feels a matter of when not if the legend is replaced at club level now too.
Bayern's slip will only leave Borussia Dortmund more frustrated that they threw away a two-goal lead late on at home to Werder Bremen on Friday evening. Niclas Fullkrug, the former Dortmund striker, found the equaliser in stoppage-time at Signal Iduna Park.
As a result, it is Freiburg who top the table in Germany. Elsewhere, the evergreen Patrik Schick scored in a fifth consecutive Bundesliga game for Bayer Leverkusen, while there was a hat-trick for Christopher Nkunku, who is enjoying his second spell with RB Leipzig.
There are only four teams in Europe's major leagues yet to concede a league goal in front of their own supporters this season. Schalke are among them despite not scoring themselves. Leverkusen have six goals, AC Milan five. But Leipzig have scored 14 without reply.
Down at the bottom, Borussia Monchengladbach are still searching for their first point of the campaign after another painful defeat - this time in the derby in Cologne. Said El Mala, who nearly joined Dortmund in the summer, scored the winner in that one.
Bundesliga results: Borussia Dortmund 2-2 Werder Bremen, Augsburg 2-2 Bayern Munich, Hoffenheim 2-3 Hamburg, Mainz 3-4 Bayer Leverkusen, Paderborn 0-2 Stuttgart, Union Berlin 1-0 Elversberg, RB Leipzig 6-0 Eintracht Frankfurt, Cologne 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach, Freiburg 2-1 Schalke.
Djed Spence made his belated debut for Inter in their comfortable 3-0 win over Parma. The result was safe long before the England international was introduced as a second-half substitute but Inter boss Cristian Chivu welcomed the chance to call upon him.
"Let us enjoy his first 25 minutes, and not forget that he has only been training with the team for a week. You cannot ask too much of him or you will push him into the red," said Chivu. "Today, San Siro gave him a shot of adrenaline and that will help all of us."
There was British interest elsewhere with Harry Winks' Cagliari drawing at home to Juventus to stay fourth. Scott McTominay also made his return from minor heart surgery as a substitute in Napoli's win over Frosinone, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring two.

Incredibly, nobody has scored more goals in a major European league than Donyell Malen for Roma in this calendar year but the Netherlands forward is going to struggle to hang on to that record much longer as he faces a suspension for his red card at Como.
Roma did well to leave with the point that preserves both teams unbeaten records, something Milan can claim too after their draw at Sassuolo. But Lazio are currently the closest challenges to Inter after their 3-1 win at Monza continued their unlikely run this season.
Former Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares scores incredible THUNDERBOLT for Lazio!
Ex-Arsenal man Nuno Tavares scored a stunner in that one. Gennaro Gattuso had been expected to struggle, particularly with the fans protesting the ownership. Instead, with five wins and a draw from their six games, it is Lazio's best start to a Serie A season ever.
Serie A results: Genoa 2-1 Fiorentina, Inter 3-0 Parma, Napoli 3-0 Frosinone, Como 0-0 Roma, Lazio 3-1 Monza, Lecce 1-2 Bologna, Sassuolo 1-1 Milan, Cagliari 1-1 Juventus.
Filipe Luis had sought to downplay Monaco's title prospects despite topping the table in France and that pessimism was somewhat explained as his side lost a two-goal lead at home to Toulouse. It is a disappointing draw with Paris Saint-Germain climbing ominously.
PSG were 3-1 winners over Le Mans, a result that lifts them up to sixth in Ligue 1 after their slow start. Luis Enrique is still rotating heavily but it only needed a brief blast from the big guns, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia coming on to score what proved to be the winner.
Elsewhere, Cameron Archer scored for the fourth game in a row in a losing effort for Auxerre, while less familiarly, Liam Rosenior fell to defeat for the first time as Paris FC coach. Marseille, meanwhile, managed to beat Troyes to move out of the bottom three.
Ligue 1 results: Lens 2-1 Lyon, Lille 1-0 Le Havre, Brest 5-1 Angers, Lorient 1-0 Paris FC, Monaco 2-2 Toulouse, PSG 3-1 Le Mans, Nice 2-1 Strasbourg, Rennes 4-1 Auxerre, Troyes 0-2 Marseille.
Porto keep doing it. Eight wins from eight now for the reigning champions in Portugal but they are not making it easy. This week they came from behind to win late on at Maritimo. Porto have now won after conceding the first goal in three of their last four matches.
There were changes at the top in the Netherlands and Turkey. Feyenoord bumped AZ Alkmaar down to third to claim their spot in front of a fantastic crowd at De Kuip, while Amedspor conceded a stoppage-time equaliser that means Galatasaray lead in Turkey.

It is early days in those competitions but Europe's tightest table is undoubtedly in Norway where Viking and Bodo/Glimt are locked on 53 points after 22 games each. Not just that, they have identical records - even down to goals scored and goal difference.
Viking are currently top with eight games to go based on the head-to-head record. Bodo/Glimt do have a home game to come against the leaders but turning that head-to-head record around will be surely impossible. Viking won 5-0 in the previous game in April.
